Time Skip

Bluejay looked around. Trees and shade surrounded them. Undergrowth was everywhere. He parted his jaws slightly and inhaled. Mice, squirrel, stale fox scent. "Mintpaw, tell me what you can smell." he whispered. "Then I'll show you the hunting crouch; and we'll get some hunting done."

Mintpaw nodded, sniffing the air. "Squirrels, robins, thrush....oh and a mouse. I think she's pregnant." She commented.

". . .Nice....information..." Bluejay said slowly, eying his apprentice. Then, he dropped into a perfect crouch. He slunk froward, belly fur just barely brushing the ground, tail held just above the grass, then he lunged forward, and was swallowed by undergrowth. A heartbeat later, he came out with a vole in his jaws. He set in down at his paws. "You try." he whispered.
