Petalpaw's second training

ooc: I FORGOT ALL ABOUT THIS D: Good thing your month isn't over yet....

ic: Birdflight sat at the camp entrance, waiting for Petalpaw.

Petalpaw pulled herself out of the apprentice den, still sleepy.

Birdflight twitched his whiskers, coming over to her. "Ready for hunting training?" He asked with a huff of amusement. "Or are you not exactly ready to wake up yet?"

"I'm ready!" she hissed back. If anything, I won't tell him I'm too tired. she started to walk off towards the entrance.

Birdflight followed, catching up to her. When they were out in the forest, he went still. "Okay, so first, let's try locating some prey." He mewed quietly.

"Fine." she said.

He raised his nose to the air, and opened his mouth. Birdflight tasted the air, before facing where the strongest-and closest- scent was. "Over there. What do you smell?" He murmured. "Be quiet though, prey is close and we don't want to scare it away."

Petalpaw looked out in the direction, and sniffed. What Is that?! "I don't know! I don't know all of this clan's techniques!"

"Calm down." Birdflight mewed gently. "It was a simple question. I don't expect you to know everything." He blinked in the direction of the scent again. "It's a pigeon. What I want you to do, is crouch down and be very quiet. Avoid twigs and big leaves which would make sound under your feet when you step on them. We're going to catch this pigeon." He explained confidently. Birdflight crouched, his tail straight out and steadily barely above the ground. His ears were laid back and his nose was raised just enough to keep track of the pigeon. He quickly but silently slunk forward, not even touching things that would make sound to show he was there. He flicked the tip of his tail for Petalpaw to follow, but be quiet. "Do what I do." He whispered.

I can already tell I won't be good at this. she thought. Petalpaw crouched down, and did as she saw what her mentor did.

"Good, but tuck your haunches in a little more, it'll help with the pounce. Let's go." He whispered, snaking through the underbrush until suddenly he stopped, nodding towards the pigeon. It was plucking seeds off the ground, filling it's fat self up like pigeons do.

Petalpaw did as she was told, and followed him. She waited for the next thing.

"Now, get yourself ready, and pounce at the right moment!" He added, launching forward at the pigeon.

The member 'Froggly' has done the following action : Dices roll

'Hunting Dice' : 4

Birdflight snatched it in his jaws and killed it quickly and silently. "Now you're going to try. Locate some prey first. Then you can catch it." He mewed.

"uhh, okay." she said. She sniffed around the air, not finding anything. "All I can smell is that dead bird and you."

"You won't smell anything from here. You're allowed to roam around our territory you know..." Birdflight pointed out.

"Bye then." she said walking off. Every few steps she took she sniffed. why can't I find anything?!

Birdflight rolled his eyes and looked for his own prey. He didn't understand why she refused to try half the time, but he couldn't do much about that.

ooc: Does she have like a failing nose or something? DDD: NUUUUU

Ooc: that'd be cool, but no.

ooc: Let's finish this up. Catch something o3o

Ooc: ughhhh! I'm lazy!

Petalpaw blah blah blah! She crept toward the pigeon and pounced.

The member 'Line of Buscus' has done the following action : Dices roll

ooc: *facepalm* Let's just pretend cuz I'm lazy too X3

ic: Birdflight walked up to Petalpaw. He poked her with a paw and they magically teleported back to camp with 3 pieces of random prey along with his pigeon from earlier. Derp.
