Dead camp, Dead island

Deadkit awoke in the nursery, curled up by his mother. He got up to his paw, a little unsteady on his feet. He started to walk out of the nursery. When he felt the cool breeze, he froze. It felt so good, but he had to hurry up if he wouldn't get spotted.

Foxkit woke up, she'd been having a nightmare about giant mice chasing her. She looked around, feeling she wouldn't be able to fall back asleep. Foxkit noticed that Deadkit was gone. Silently, she walked to the entrance of the nursery where she saw him. "Deadkit? What are you doing?" She whispered.

Deadkit spun around quickly, only to see Foxkit. His heart beat quickened instantly from the sudden burst. It took Deadkit a few seconds to calm down before he said, "Uh....What are you doing here?"

"I woke up," she said. "Where are you going?"

"Just for a walk," he replied. That still wasn't an answer.

"Can I come with you?" Foxkit asked. Even if he said no, she'd follow.

"Not very friendly indeed," he replied. You have to promise not to tell if you do." he said pointing one paw to the camp entrsance.

Foxkit's eyes widened excitedly, "Okay, I promise I won't tell anyone."

"Let's go then," he said turning around. He started to walk out of camp, taking in all of the scents. All new to him, all bringing him out even more.

Foxkit followed Deadkit happily.

When they got to the heart of the forest, he turned to her. " How are you holding up so far?"

Foxkit was breathing hard but nodded, "I'm fine."

Deadkit sat down, "I'm not leaving this spot untill you rest for a little."

"Okay," Foxkit mewed, she laid down in the grass.

Deadkit only needed one answer from her, "Foxkit.....Why are you really out here?"

"What do you mean?" Foxkit asked, confused.

"Come on. You're not the friendly type, remember?" he asked. Just as she said.

"I'm not really friendly but I'm not that mean either. I'm here cause I like being around you," she meowed.

"And how's that working out? I've gotten you out here just for you to have your breath taken away. Also, there are other cats you could have been with, why did you ask to follow me out of all the cats?" he asked cocking his head to one side.

Foxkit stood up, "I'm fine, I'm not tired. I followed you because you're interesting."

"How so," he asked. "I'm not interesting, just a downer,"

"No, no, no. You're not a downer. I mean look, I've never been this far from camp before! There's so much to do out here." She said looking around.

"The outside, the real world. The outside is interesting, not me. All I did was take you out here." he replied.

"But you brought me here, not someone else, you," Foxkit pointed out. "And there's so many things out here to play with, we could have a lot of fun!"

"I brought you out here yes, but does that matter," He wanted to push her into telling him the real reason. It'll be a hoax. She just did this to get me in trouble...Well, it would happen either way.
