A Starry Night

Nightpaw layed down lazily in the camp clearing, looking up at the stars in the night sky. I wonder if Leopardclaw likes me too... The question kept rolling in her mind over and over.

Leopardclaw walked out oof the nursery after cheaking on petal kit, he noticed the apprentice sitting outside, he padded over to her. "Hello Nightpaw, Lookin' at the stars?" He meowed happily.

Nightpaw turned around and saw Leopardclaw. "Oh! H-hi, L-Leopardclaw." She looked up at the sky. "Y-yes. I always c-come out here."

"You're still acting funny. Anything you want to talk about?" He asked the She-cat.

"Nope! No, I'm perfectly fine, no problems here!" Nightpaw mewed quickly.

"No you're not. You have SOMETHING on your mind." he meowed amused

"N-no I don't!" Nightpaw argued.

Leopardclaw knew she was hiding something, For an apprentice, she is quite pretty. he thought, but shook the idea out of his head. Maybe when she is a warrior he thought. "Come on, you can tell me." He almost begged.

"I already t-told you, i-it's n-nothing," Nightpaw mumbled.

"Alright don't tell me" He meowed. "If you're gonna sit out here all night, how bout we make ourselves useful and do something." He said, thinking of the clan again.

Nightpaw turned her head away, trying to hide her blushing. "I was g-going to go on a patrol or something later."

"Well, wanna go for a little hunting?" He mewed, he could see she was blushing, he wanted to see how long he could make this go.

"N-no," Nightpaw began. "I was gonna go on a patrol with Frostfire and W-Willowpaw l-later."

Leopardclaw sighed. "I'll go hunting by myself then, I suppose." he mewoed, and started to walk towards the exit of the camp, slowly to see if Nightpaw says anything to stop him....

"'Kay, bye," Nightpaw called.

Leopardclaw turned around back and walked into the warriors den.
