Just waiting

Deadpaw sat down at the river, looking into it. He stared at his reflection, mostly focused on his blind eye.

Reedpaw padded over to the river, looking at Deadpaw. "SO WE MEET AGAIN! Hello." He mewed calmly, sitting down on his side of the river.

"Huh? Oh, hey." he said.

Cloudpaw saw Deadpaw and Reedpaw in the distance. He ducked behind a tree.

"It's been a while, huh? How's Thunderclan?" He asked simply, licking a paw and drawing it over his head as if he didn't care.

"It's been better...... How about you?" he asked.

"I'm doing fine." Reedpaw replied calmly. "Riverclan is the clan for me. I wish I'd been born here!" He purred.

"well, I should say the same. If I had never known you, I wouldn't mind fighting you."

Cloudpaw stared in the distance. They know each other?

Ooc: can dead find him?

Ooc: just do something like rustle in the bushes or something.

Cloudpaw took a step back, but there was a twig, and it made a cracking noise, loud enough for the two cats to hear. "Uh-oh..." He whispered.

Deadpan whipped around, seeing Cloudpaw. "What are you doing here?" he asked, doing his best to stay calm.

Cloudpaw took a step back, ducking his head an dropping a couple of the herbs he was carrying. "I.. W-was collecting herbs.."

"So wer you spying on us, or did you just get here?" he asked,

Cloudpaw looked at the RiverClan cat, and then looked back up at Deadpaw. "I..."

"The truth!" he hissed back at Cloudpaw.

"I was collecting herbs and saw you," Cloudpaw began. "I didn't know what to do... So I hid behind this tree.."

ic: Reedpaw twitched his whiskers. "You don't recconize me, Cloudpaw?" He asked calmly. One of his eyes was sealed shut in an awkward way, and he was much bigger, with a glossy riverclan pelt from swimming and eating fish.

Cloudpaw looked at Deadpaw. "Even if Reedpaw used to be in ThunderClan, you shouldn't be sneaking off to talk to him."

Reedpaw took a step forward, but didn't cross into the river border. "Now hang on. We were just out at the same time. I just called him over. We aren't friends anyways; we're rivals. What's wrong with that?" He demanded, looking annoyed.

"Then if you're rivals, how come you two are having a friendly conversation, as if you are friends?" Cloudpaw questioned.

"It's not friendly. It's calm, and not killing each other." Reedpaw huffed, rolling his eyes again. "There may be a fight though if some certain pesky little medicine cat apprentice decides to start one."

Deadpaw stepped in front of reedpaw, claws unsheathed. "That's too far!"
