The return of the Blueflower

Blueflower awoke in the warriors den. She decided to leave camp, so she did. She went into the territory and started walking. After a while she found a place that was covered in shadows. She lay down in the shadows and rested her head on her paws.

Blackfur was padding through the territory, thinking, when a faintly familiar scent hit his nose. He looked up I surprise, spotting Blueflower in the distance. He began to pad towards her excitedly. "Hey!" He mewed with a soft smile, sitting down nearby. "Where have you been all this time? Shadowclan missed you."

"Mostly in the warrior den sleeping." She said.

Blackfur looked surprise. "Oh. Well I'm stupid." He huffed. "Well cool to see you." He meowed, feeling a little awkward.

"Something wrong?" She asked. She started to watch him more closely.

Blackfur tilted his head. "No...Why?"

"I've known you since you were a kit. I think that something's wrong." She said. "Are you sure?"

Blackfur sighed. "No...I guess something is bothering me, but you won't care for it." He murmured. "Besides, you didn't exactly like me when we were kits." He joked with a smile.

"That was then and this is now. Just tell me what's bothering you." She said.

"Alright." Blackfur began.

"When I was brought into Shadowclan all I knew is that I apparently resembled an old dead medicine cat named Blackstorm. I didn't suspect anything - after all I was just a kitten. But then...When I became an apprentice I had this strange dream. Aurastar said it was the same one Blackstorm had had before he was murdered...Or at least was very similar. Whenever I fought in battle, I also seemed to black out before I could deal a paw-swipe. When I awake, the enemy is...resolved. This confused me. Once, when I became a warrior, Aurastar saw me black out in battle. Apparently I didn't black out after all....I sort of transformed I guess. Apparently I went from very similar looking to EXACTLY like Blackstorm, and it happened whenever my clan was in danger. Once I only 'half blacked-pit's and saw for myself what was happening. I was vicious in battle and whenever my clanmates needed a medicine cat I automatically knew what to do. It didn't make any sense. Aurastar and I got the idea that...that..that I some how WAS Blackstorm. Just in another body. So...We went to Moonstone. I don't know how to describe what happened there, but apparently I have two spirits...I know it doesn't make sense but some how part of Blackstorm is in me. Now I'm not sure what my destiny is...To heal or to fight? It's been bugging me ever sense. I'm not my self lately. The starclan cat said there would be a time where I would choose my path, but I didn't get it. I was reborn for a reason, right? I'm still Blackfur, my own self and not eternally trapped as a dead cat?"

Blackfur's hackles had risen and he was shivering from the story as he told it. His claws dug into the earth and he didn't dare look at his clanmate. "I don't know what to do!"

"Blackfur....you're the deputy of shadowclan. Your other half was right. You have two paths. Either lead your clan into battle when Aurastar dies, or heal your clan. I can't help you in this but I wish I could. This is your choice. It effects the rest of your life. You don't have to choose now, but you will. Think it through. Give each side a chance and whichever one you think is the path for you, take it." She said.

Blackfur nodded slowly. "Thanks Blueflower...You're a good cat." He sighed, looking up at the sky. "Maybe I was reborn to have a destiny I couldn't have before..."

"Well, what is it? Or are still uncertain?" She asked although she knew what his answer would be.

Blackfur shrugged. "I have a few ideas, but I'm not entirely sure yet." He confessed, shifting his paws.

"Well, you have until Aurastar dies, let's just hope that's enough time."

Blackfir flinched. "Of course it is!" He snapped. "What do you honk our leader is so weak she'll die any day now!?" He snarled protectively.

For a moment his eyes flashed darker, but it was gone quickly.

He breathed in and sighed. "Sorry...I don't know what got over me there..." he muttered.

"You had every right. I know that's what it sounded like." She said

Blackfur looked away again. "I think I'll take a walk. I need time to think about this. Thanks again, Blueflower..." he sighed, beginning to pad away.

"Think wisely Blackfur!" She called after him before he was out of sight.
