Quietbreeze Be Sitting 030

Quietbreeze sat down on a rock behind some bushes, making sure no one could see her. Most of the clan was asleep this early in the morning anyways. She loved to sit in the sun on her free time, but was always too shy to come out, so she came here every morning or so to get some "me-time". She stretched out, enjoying the warm feeling as the sun washed her snowy white fur, making the black stripe a pretty granite color.

Brightstream silently padded through the territory, her head hung low.
Nightlight...
Why couldn't she forget the cat?
This was so dumb... how come she never acted like this around a cat before?
The she-cat let out a agitated sight and saw Quietbreeze. Great... "Hi," she greeted as she padded up to Quietbreeze.

Nightlight saw the two and awkwardly padded out of sight, His jet black pelt made the Silver marks glow in the sinlight, but he didn't care...he wanted to stay out of sight. Idiot...! he repeated to himself in his mind.

Quietbreeze leaped up, shooting into the bushes nearby so fast the leaves trembled. Her eyes glowed in their darkness with fear, but quickly relaxed as she saw Brightstream. "Hi. S-sorry, you scared me a little." She mewed, smiling shyly. She came out of the bush and sat down, looking over Brightstream's shoulder just to see Nightlight creeping away. Quietbreeze looked back before Brightstream could notice. Considering what happened last time, she ignored him so her friend wouldn't get mad. "How are you?" She asked politely.

"Fine, I guess," Brightstream responded. "Same as always..."

Quietbreeze tilted her head, unconvinced. "Something has been bothering you, hasn't it? You can tell me you know. I'll help any way I can." She mewed gently.

"Oh... it's nothing," Brightstream looked away slightly.

"Please tell me. I don't want to see you upset." Quietbreeze whimpered. "I promise not to tell anyone, and if you don't want me to do anything about it, I won't. I promise." She whispered.

"I... I think I'm in... love with Nightlight," Brightstream whispered as she sat down, burying her face into her paws.
love?
Never had she been in love with a cat. Especailly ones that called she-cats difficult, even if he hadn't meant it.

Quietbreeze perked her ears in surprise. She lowered her head so that it was level with Brightstream's. "It's okay. Have you seen the way he looks at you? I'm sure he loves you, but is too afraid to say it." she murmured. Suddenly she looked away, her eyes distant. "I-I wish I could love some one..." She murmured half to herself.

Brightstream looked back at Quietbreeze, raising her eye a bit. Giving her a look that said, Rabbitfoot.

Quietbreeze blinked at her and shook her head. "You know that's not possible." She whispered, making sure no one else was listening.

"Doesn't mean you don't like him," Brightstream meowed, giving her paw a slight lick to smooth down the fur.

Quietbreeze was silent. "I don't know what to do...I can't find myself loving another cat." she murmured finally.

Brightstream turned her head as she saw Nightlight. "I think I'll go for a bit."

Quietbreeze followed her gaze. "Okay. Bye." She mewed. laying back down, head on her paws.

Rabbitfoot flicked his tail. Quietbreeze and Brightstream had been talking about him. As he shrugged, he finished storing some marigold then came out of his den. He sniffed, and followed Quietbreeze's scent. He crouched in some bushes, where she couldn't see him, then leapt at her, landing near her, a paw on her shoulders. He let out a deep, playful growl, purring slightly.

"B-Brightstream. Can we t-talk?" Nightlight called.

"Sure," Brightstream meowed to Nightlight, sitting down about a foot or two from him. "What is it?"

"About..what you said." he meowed nervously.

"What I said?" Brightstream tilted her head to the side. "What did I say?"

"T-That you loved me.." the pitch of his voice went up and down.

Quietbreeze squeaked in alarm, rolling over instinctively just to come face-to-face with Rabbitfoot. "You scared me!" She purred quietly in amusement, pawing his nose gently. "I'll get you for it." She murmured suddenly, disappearing from under his paws, suddenly reappearing in the bush behind him and leaping on Rabbitfoot's back.

"Ah!" he said in mock anger, shaking himself. Quietbreeze dropped off and he purred, pawing her nose. "You got me." he said, purring. "But," he started. "I'll get you again."
