Bluejay thrashed and yowled as a twoleg about half the size as the adults carried him into a giant twoleg nest. It was huge. An adult took him by the scruff then the younger one ran off. Bluejay was confused, and angry. But, the twoleg set him on a cold, shining surface. It was flat but cold, and he sort of danced between paws. The twoleg placed it's front paw on his head, then his other on his back, and pushed down. The twoleg was battling him. He knew it. But for what? His claws weren't even out. Just because they're stupid.. he thought, unsheathing his claws. He writhed around until he got to a good point and, aiming, lashed at the twoleg's paw. The strike drew blood and the twoleg skipped backwards in pain. Then, they grabbed something.. Something with twoleg writing on it. He blinked and lay down, ready to fight the twoleg again. But the twoleg stabbed the thin shiny part right into his shoulder, and he yowled in pain. But there was also something a little calming about the stab...

It had been a moon since Bluejay had been brought into the twoleg nest and stabbed. His shoulder had the twoleg version of a cobweb wrap around it. The twolegs were letting him walk around the nest now, but were sure to keep him in the nest at all times. Bluejay watched as the twolegs spilled out of the nest, heading to their own camps for the night. Then Bluejay began remembering his Clan, his camp..His family. Then he noticed something. The cool night air of New-leaf was blowing in through the nest, not the cold air that blew around during the day. Heading towards the source of the air, Bluejay saw an open window. The window wasn't high, but not low. Bluejay knew he could escape. So, tensing his muscles, he pushed off with his hind legs and felt his paws land on hard ground on the other side. It was like smooth rocks. He shrugged and walked on until he found grass, where he pawed the dewy ground, purring. He could see trees and, faintly, eyes glittering in their shadows. He knew that was home. He began bounding toward it, happy to be free again.
