Bright and Quiet go for a Hunt

Brightpaw sat by a rock on the moorland, her eyes gleaming brightly and her white fur with ginger patches shining. She got up, a gentle breeze blowing past, as she waited for Quietpaw to come. Poor Quietpaw... Her brother killed Patchstar... She felt bad for the apprentice, and wanted to help. She looked up at the setting sun, letting out a small yawn.

Quietpaw poked her head out of a bush, looking up at Brightpaw. She padded out shyly, looking around. Even so, her nose seemed to twitch as if she was already sniffing for prey.

Brightpaw turned around and saw Quietpaw. "There you are!" she meowed, walking further into the territory, using her tail to signal Quietpaw to follow.

Quietpaw followed quickly, her nose in the air as she looked for prey. Suddenly, she perked her ears and stopped, angling them towards a rabbit sucked into feeding on some sweet grass. "Rabbit." She murmured.

"Go into a hunter crouch and try to catch it," Brightpaw whispered.

Quietpaw nodded, crouching. She padded quickly forward, eyes locked onto the rabbit. When she was close enough, she leaped. Her leap was quick and far, and she killed the rabbit surprisingly fast and quietly. Padding back to Brightpaw, she dropped the rabbit and began to bury it for later.

"Nice job," Brightpaw congragulated, stalking forward, her eyes set on a bird. She lightly, silently crept forward. She pounced, slamming the bird down and biting it on the neck, killing it instantly, and coming back to Quietpaw, walking up proudly with the bird in her jaws. She buried next to the rabbit. "Your turn," she purred.

Quietpaw nodded and looked for other prey. Soon, she saw a mouse eating a nut. She didn't hesitate. Rushing forward, she snapped her jaws around the mouse with surprising speed and silence. But the mouse shot free easily, it's thin body getting away before she could tighten her grip. It ran away, straight to it's den.

"That's okay," Brightpaw meowed. "I think we have enough prey. Care for a border patrol?"

Quietpaw nodded, picking up her rabbit.

Brightpaw led Quietpaw to the borders.

Quietpaw followed silently, looking around.

Brightpaw showed Quietpaw all the borders and everything because Little don't feel like typing :P

Brightpaw stood by the entrance of camp, turning around to Quietpaw. "How did you like hunting and patrolling?" she asked.

Quietpaw blinked. "O-okay...Thanks for helping me with my training." She murmured.

"It's okay! I had fun!" Brightpaw smiled at Quietpaw, turning around and putting her bird in the fresh-kill pile.

Quietpaw smiled and hurriedly put her rabbit on the pile before padding away again.
