Sparrow's Training(Border Patrol)

Otterstar padded out. "Sparrowpaw!" She called.

Sparrowpaw padded out of the apprentice den, just waking up. "Wha..?" he said, sleep clouding his eyes.

"I'm taking you on border patrol today," mewed Otterstar.

Sparrowpaw shook his head. "Ok." he mewed.

Otterstar led him out of camp.

Otterstar stopped when they came to the River. "This is the river, Sparrowpaw. Be careful not to cross it."

Sparrowpaw bent down, watching the river with deep amber eyes. Then he looked up. "What's on the other side?" he asked.

"ThunderClan," answered Otterstar. "This river divides ThunderClan and RiverClan."

"Oh...." he said, looking over at all the undergrowth and trees.

As they moved on, they eventually came to the Gorge. "This is the Gorge, Sparrowpaw," Otterstar said, a bit of worry in her voice.

Sparrowpaw looked down, but he never saw an end to the fall, but he could see white foam bubbling around it. He peered at it, completely interested. Then, he lost his footing and slipped. Grappling his paws out, he screeched, then latched onto some rocks near the edge, then seemed to freeze onto the wall out of fear.

Otterstar let out a gasp and ran up, grasping her apprentice by the scruff and pulling him out onto land. "You have to be more careful!" She scolded.
