Reedpaw poked his head out of the apprentice den. "Who's the new kit?" He asked curiously, padding out. "Hi."

Sparrowpaw, feeling like he was responsible for Dew, sat down next to him and gave Reedpaw a sharp look, silently telling him to leave Dew alone for now until he was settled. "Dew, want to head to the nursery and pick out a nest?" Sparrowpaw asked, looking at his father's-copy of a kit.

Sparrowpaw flinched and picked up the kit and head to the nursery.

IC- Sparrowpaw nudged him towards a nest. "Dove will be here shortly." he mewed, then bounded away to get his mother.

Dove didn't answer, without movement, without thought. She didn't even look at the kit as she fell into deep despair.

Sparrowpaw looked the tears from his mother's face, and nuzzled her shoulder, trying to comfort her, even though he was still crying too.

Time Skip

Later, Sparrowpaw came back, moss crowding his jaws. He set it down next to Dove's nest and started arranging and placing it, and soon a larger nest was made, enough for Black, Mist, and the new kit, Dew.

Dew climbed in the nest and curled up in a ball, he yawned "Dove? Will they change my name?" he asked sleepily "I wanna be a 'Paw like Sparrowpaw!"
