Cloudkit's ceremony

Rainstar jumped on the high rock and let her voice echo across the camp."all cats old enough to catch your own prey join here to her my words!"

IC- Bluejay padded out and sat, waiting for his mate, Ivyfire.

Cloudkit bounded out of the nursery, leaping onto his adoptive father's back, his fluffy fur ruffled with little splotch's of mud here and there. "It's my ceremony!" He mewed happily.

Ivyfire walked over "Cloudkit, I wasn't finished with you fur!" she licked the kits pelt clean and sat down next to Bluejay

Bluejay smiled happily and fell forward as if Cloudkit had pushed him down and rolled his son off gently. "That's great!" he purred, wrapping his tail around his soon to be apprenticed son.

Reedkit followed Cloudkit over with happy yips. "I can't wait till I'm an apprentice! You're sooo lucky!" He mewed cheerily, bouncing around in circles.

Cloudkit let out a hiss of irritation when Ivyfire licked his fur clean. "Hey! That was uncalled for!"

Bluejay purred in amusement. "You don't want to become an apprentice looking like a mess, do you?"

"... I dunno..." Cloudkit answered.

Brackenkit padded out, stumbling over her own paws. She leaned against someone -the kit was to tired to tell who- and yawned quietly. "What's going on?" she complained.

"Cloudkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Cloudpaw. Your mentor will be Badgertail. I hope Badgertail will pass down all she knows to you." She mewed " Badgertail step up"

Cloudpaw felt his heart skip with joy.
